This beautifully engineered part is also known as the Trombetta Spider. It is a hot-air diffuser designed for the 296’s sophisticated thermal management system.
Positioned at the start of the hot-air routing circuit, it connects directly to the hot hose (manicotto tubo caldo) and then feeds the rigid hot pipe (tubo caldo rigido), which continues toward the coiled pipe (spiralato). This diffuser’s internal spider-grid shape ensures that the hot airflow becomes smooth and stable before travelling deeper into the system.
